Guardian Angel Program
Many of the homeless animals that arrive at the San Jose Animal Care Center are in desperate need of medical treatment. These animals would not have a chance at a new life if it weren't for caring contributors who donate funds and make medical treatment an option.
As we enter the holidays and this time of giving, please consider becoming a Guardian Angel. Visit the Guardian Angel table at the event to join and receive a special gift. |

All-Day Adoption and Celebration Activities

All new adopters receive a bag of food and an adoption kit filled with great information about bringing your new pet home. In addition, you will receive a goody bag full of toys and treats, coupons to local pet stores, a pet portrait, and a chance to win great raffle prizes. We have lots of scheduled demosand contests planned to give you an opportunity to have fun with your pet. All scheduled activities will take place at the "Main Runway" in the center of the lobby. Schedule subject to change at discretion of SJACS.

Get your new pet started off on the right foot!
We will discuss some critical things for you to know and to do with your newly adopted canines to get them off on the right path, beginning right from the time they leave the shelter. Some of the topics covered will include socialization, pack leadership, positive reinforcement, and enrichment plans for your dog.

COMMON BEHAVIOR ISSUES
Does your dog have a behavior that you need help with, such as leash reactivity, anxiety or fearfulness, jumping up, or destructive patterns? We'll discuss some of the most common issues dog owners have and give valuable strategies to work through them to help your dog learn good manners . We will also have an informal "Ask the Trainer" session following the demonstration.
