Donate Goods

The San Jose Animal Care Center will happily accept all donations of animal-related items in good condition.  We also apreciate and are in great need of blankets, towels and newspapers for our shelter animals.  In addition, we gladly accept donations of pet food, toys, cat litter, pet beds, etc. for use in our rescue and foster programs.

Please bring all donated items to the City of San José Animal Care Center located at 2750 Monterey Road (cross of Umbarger).

What kinds of donations are needed?
There are a few items that are extremely useful directly to our shelter animals, so we encourage you to donate these specific items.

Feline Pine	Plush Toys with no Hard Eyes or Frills (choking hazard)	Kongs	Food and Treat Dispenser Toys	Cat scratchers designed for cat cages website	Plastic baby key toys	Tennis balls

You are welcome to donate other items as well. Anything that does not meet our specific needs for our shelter animals is made available to our rescue groups partners. They rescue animals from our shelter and rely on donations. Your donations of goods will enable these rescue groups to put their funds back into their rescue efforts.
