Other Spay & Neuter Resources

You can help both homeless animals and your community by having your pets fixed! Each year in Silicon Valley thousands of puppies, kittens, dogs and cats are put to death because there are not enough homes for them all.

Every puppy or kitten born means one less home available for orphaned shelter animals!

Besides saving lives there are many other positive reasons to spay or neuter your pet.  Did you know "fixing" your pet can do the following?

Eliminates the urge to roam.  Your pet will be calmer and more content.

Reduces spraying, mounting, fighting, barking, pacing, marking and biting.

Spay/Neuter Facts

Q.  Will having my pet fixed make him or her fat?
A.  The wrong diet and not enough exercise is how pets gain weight.

Q.  Doesn't surgery hurt my pet?
A. Not really. The surgery is done under anesthesia so there's no pain.

Q.  I have a boy animal.  He can't have babies so why fix him?
A.  One un-neutered male can impregnate hundreds of females who then give birth.

In 6 years, one female dog and her offspring can be the source of 67,000 puppies!

In 7 years, one female cat and her young can produce 420,000 kittens!
